Express Care Pharmacy unveils new facility in Washington-Beaufort County Industrial Park

On Wednesday, Express Care Pharmacy cut the ribbon on its new 20,000-square-foot facility in the Washington–Beaufort County Industrial Park.

A subsidiary of PharMerica, Express Care Pharmacy provides closed-door, comprehensive pharmacy services to nursing homes, assisted living communities, family care homes and group homes. Express Care was founded in Washington in 2008.

At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Pharmacy Director Kennedy Blount spoke about the company’s growth into a team of more than 100 employees. Blount said Express Care fills more than 60,000 prescriptions each month and serves patients in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.

“Today’s ribbon-cutting marks an important next step in our growth,” Blount said. “This new 20,000-square-foot building will help us modernize our operations, increase efficiency and continue delivering the high quality of service and support that our clients and their residents deserve.”
